The DVD entitled “Earthquakes and Tsunamis in Spain”, has been produced by the National Geographic Institute of Spain and co-sponsored by MAPFRE RE. It can be played in Spanish or English.
As a reinsurer in the field of Natural Perils, MAPFRE RE is very much aware of the catastrophic effects generated by this type of natural events and therefore willingly agreed to participate in this project, that the National Geographic Institute has developed so brilliantly.
By spreading knowledge about the origin, behaviour and effects of earthquakes and tsunamis we aim to raise awareness within the insurance and reinsurance sectors and to improve the measures of prevention and avoidance of such risks.
