The China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) has formally authorized the request from MAPFRE RE to operate in Beijing under its own Representative Office.
To date, the representation for MAPFRE RE in China was managed through MAPFRE S.A.’s representative office in Beijing, but in 2015 MAPFRE RE requested permission for its own representative office, in order to reinforce its presence in the country and as previous and necessary step to set up a future branch in China. The authorization from CIRC was granted last 28 December.
Ignacio Rodríguez Arteche will be the legal representative of the office, which will remain in the same premises: Zhongyu Plaza, Suite 1809, A6 Gongti North Road (Chaoyang District, Beijing).
