In October and November, MAPFRE RE met with the top representatives of the insurance companies and with those responsible for the reinsurance areas of these entities, in Barcelona and Madrid, respectively.
At the meeting in the capital, Eduardo Pérez de Lema, CEO of MAPFRE RE, welcomed the attendees, thanking them for their support to the company in the development of the activity and their contribution to the company’s positioning as a reference reinsurer in the market. He also outlined the company’s position in this upcoming renewal and placed special emphasis on the current strategy of focusing on profitable growth and customer orientation.
Maite González, Regional Director of MAPFRE RE for Iberia, Israel and Medaf (Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa), and Fernando Sadornil, Area Director for Spain and Israel, stressed the collaboration of the entities in developing the company’s activity and positioning it in the market. The events were also attended by the underwriting team from Spain.
Attendees had the opportunity to visit the exhibitions of Fundación MAPFRE open to the public in the respective cities, “Boldini and late 19th century Spanish painting. The spirit of an age” and “Touching Color”. These exhibitions delve first into the work of the Italian painter, the most important and prolific of the Italian artists who lived in Paris in the second half of the nineteenth century, and – the second – into the history of the pastel rebirth from an international perspective.
